I am in love with this new Hand and Nail Cream I got from Caudalie Paris!
It’s interesting. Just a day ago I was reading up on my favorite beauty blogs and I had read something intensive about the brand Caudalie. It mentioned how great their skincare products were. On my trip to the Upper East today, I was in desperate need of bandaids and I just happened to walk into a really nice pharmacy (I didn’t know pharmacies could be “nice” but this one definitely was). Because I was short of cash, I thought I might as well look for a nice hand cream anyway, since I needed one. The one I used before was from Tocca but I was rather disappointed with it, with the smell and results of it.
As I was looking through, I came across Caudalie. I thought, hey might as well give it a try!
And oh my gosh, this is seriously the most moisturizing, hydrating, nourishing, and cleanest hand cream I have ever tried! It leaves a non-greasy finish and your hands will instantly feel like a baby’s bum! I have a friend with really calloused hands and even the effects of this hand cream was undeniable on my friend’s hands.
This is also good for nails and cuticle. It says here “formula is highly concentrated in… anti-oxidant grape-seed polyphenols, … shea butter, grape-seed oil, avocado, plant glycerine, sweet orange.”
Okay. So I can’t praise this any high enough. It’s getting hot already (in NY at least!) and what better than this light but deeply hydrating and nourishing hand cream to carry any time anywhere? Oh, also the smell is really fresh and it does smell kind of like grapes!
Highly, most highly recommend! xx
My Love for Diptyque!
I am going to share with you my love for Diptyque, a Parisian Fragrance brand that sells anything from eaux des toilettes to colognes, candles and body scents.
This has got to me my all-time favorite perfume brand. They just smell absolutely gorgeous and really, once you get the taste of how deep their scents are and how rich and luxurious they smell, it’s hard to go back to some of the more chemically smelling alcohol perfumes out there.
The past months, I have diligently went to several fragrance shops to get a general sense of what scents I love, what brands I respect, and which I know I don’t like. A recent trip to Le Labo in NYC’s Soho has taught me, credits to the perfumist there, that fragrances are like wine. There is the base note(s), then the mid and top notes. Surely enough, if you take a sniff of their fragrances, spray it, then wait 30 minutes, then an hour, the scent reveals to you all the different shades and notes in full bloom.
I adore Diptyque for that reason. I love the blooming of the smell all around you, combining several scents into a perfect blend.
Now, my all-time favorite at Diptyque has to be the Eau Duelle. It is a vanilla scent with spicy notes, combined into a classy, rich and feminine smell! I wasn’t at all a fan of anything smelling like vanilla because they often just remind me of cheap body lotion that sells well in the Christmas season. But this beautiful bottle was a completely different experience!
Eau Duelle is also very mild, meaning that the scent isn’t so strong and sickening as some perfumes are. It’s mild but it lingers around you for quite some time, leaving such a rich and creamy feel. I love that it has a sweet and spicy mix, giving both a pretty and sophisticated scent!
I’m almost done with my first bottle, and yes I have gone and bought several other perfumes from Diptyque. But I can assure you, nothing compares to Eau Duelle! I am though, currently intrigued and attracted to L’ombre Dan L’eau and Oyedo. I may go try that out and add it to my collection with Eau Duelle and Ofresia!
I have since converted many of my dear friends to loving Diptyque. To name some of the popular ones from those around me are: Do Son, Olene, Philosykos, and Oyedo!
If there’s a local Diptyque store around you, go and have a sniff around! It’ll awake your olfactory senses to a new experience of richness and depth. xx
