What Does Your Skin Say About You?

This has been featured in my last and first video, “What’s in my (Mulberry Alexa) Bag?” and it’s the L’Occitane Hand Purifying Gel ($7). As I have said this before, I’m not a huge fan of hand sanitizers because still in my head, it just “feels” cleaner to go wash my hands in running water than to put some slobbery gel on my hands and believe my hands are much cleaner.
But I have been repeatedly told by those more entrusted in science that that is NOT so and even if it doesn’t “feel” so, I should go with it and believe that hand sanitizers sanitizes and does it well.
I was in Sephora waiting on line and you know how they have the row of travel size products displayed all up to the cash registers, and while you’re tapping your foot waiting for your turn to pay, you consider the products on the way, adding them to your basket and just— it’s a smart move Sephora, it is. So anyway, I was waiting on line and I saw this product and I don’t know, I felt like, why not?
It smelt wonderful, like L’Occitane’s trademark lavender smell and somehow the lecture of how important hand sanitizers are in mix with L’Occitane’s wonderful smell, and the decent price made me pick it up and buy it.
I haven’t gotten in the habit of using it when most necessary though, but when I do remember, I think, wow this feels great! I’m not sure hand sanitizers are supposed to do this, but it extremely softens your hands! The gel doesn’t feel too slobbery and the wonderful smell decreases the discomfort if any. I love it!
The only thing is the packaging. Though pretty stylish for just a hand sanitizer, it tends to just blob out too much when using it. Other than that, I think it’s a handy little thing!
FAVORITE TEA AT THE MOMENT
I’ve discovered a new favorite tea! There are things about one’s “favorites” that becomes a favorite not by trial and error but by an instant attraction to it. Ha! I usually know something is going to be my “favorite” by an instant attraction the first time, then by the second and third I think, “yupp, this is it. You’re on my favorites list!”
Okay, so what’s my new favorite tea at the moment? I told you about my last two favorites, and they still are on my list but I found a newbie. It’s the “Blueberry Green Tea” from The Republic of Tea. I’ve always liked The Republic of Tea because of their famous circular pocketed tea bags. But amongst all of their flavors, I absolutely love the “Blueberry Green Tea”. It smells of blueberries the moment you open the cap and it’s divine. I think what I really like about it is the combo of blueberries, a highly antioxidant fruit in combination with green tea!
Drank it, and loved it so much! And loved it even more when I felt an instant effect of the tea. Those with slight digestive problems or guilt of having eaten too much or just unhealthy food, simply pop one of these tea bags into a lukewarm/hot water and sip it in. You’ll feel your digestive system working out, detoxing, and helping you feel healthy!
Try it for yourselves and tell me if I’m wrong :)

I am in love with this new Hand and Nail Cream I got from Caudalie Paris!
It’s interesting. Just a day ago I was reading up on my favorite beauty blogs and I had read something intensive about the brand Caudalie. It mentioned how great their skincare products were. On my trip to the Upper East today, I was in desperate need of bandaids and I just happened to walk into a really nice pharmacy (I didn’t know pharmacies could be “nice” but this one definitely was). Because I was short of cash, I thought I might as well look for a nice hand cream anyway, since I needed one. The one I used before was from Tocca but I was rather disappointed with it, with the smell and results of it.
As I was looking through, I came across Caudalie. I thought, hey might as well give it a try!
And oh my gosh, this is seriously the most moisturizing, hydrating, nourishing, and cleanest hand cream I have ever tried! It leaves a non-greasy finish and your hands will instantly feel like a baby’s bum! I have a friend with really calloused hands and even the effects of this hand cream was undeniable on my friend’s hands.
This is also good for nails and cuticle. It says here “formula is highly concentrated in… anti-oxidant grape-seed polyphenols, … shea butter, grape-seed oil, avocado, plant glycerine, sweet orange.”
Okay. So I can’t praise this any high enough. It’s getting hot already (in NY at least!) and what better than this light but deeply hydrating and nourishing hand cream to carry any time anywhere? Oh, also the smell is really fresh and it does smell kind of like grapes!
Highly, most highly recommend! xx
Tea gives you a sense of tranquility, being, and healthiness. I’m drinking tea much more than usual and days when I’m feeling icky and coffee is much too strong for my like, I resort to a hot cup of Tropical Green Tea or a Pomegranate Oolong Tea.

These are currently my two favorite teas! Harney & Sons have amazing quality tea, and what I mean by that in my sense of amateur tea-tasting is that 1) the texture of the tea does not leave a bitter taste, 2) the combination of tropical fruits and green tea, or the combination of the pomegranate and oolong is just superb, 3) the smell is delicious and so completely refreshening!
I go for the Pomegranate oolong whenever I’ve eaten oily or heavy food. Oolong does that job of breaking down the oils and helping you digest better. The tropical green tea is just, the smell is so fruity and fresh that you’ll want to grab for it several times a day!
I am a complete coffee lover, but even I would want a nice storage of quality tea that I can brew up any time I’m in the mood— which is quite often nowadays.
Why not take a break from the heavy coffee and try so refreshening tea? xx
In a recent TIME magazine article about chocolates, I have been quite made at peace to know that the consumption of chocolate can be very beneficial. It has lifted the guilt of eating them or even wanting to eat them in the first place!
I don’t think I’m too obsessed with chocolates as I have seen many a desperate hopeless chocolate lovers. However, I do have my days when without it, I find no meaning in life.
Okay, that’s overstated but the point is, girls need chocolate sometimes- and when she’s got them when she’s needing them, there’s nothing quite satisfying!
A recent chocolate discovery for me is the Milka Luflee (Alpine Milk) Aerated Chocolate. And this babe is so delicious. It’s aerated so there’s little bubbles in the chocolate giving it a fun smooth texture when chewing and melting that stuff in your mouth!
Yum! So good! They come in milk and white chocolate. I’m not a fan of white, so I’ve got to say the Alpine Milk is the go for this.
